Susan Ross MBACP(Accred) BA (Hons)Counsellor and Psychotherapist SW London
Anxiety? Depression? Eating Disorders? Life changes? Relationship issues? Feeling stuck?
Throughout our lives there can be moments when we feel overwhelmed. These can often cause mixed and uncomfortable feelings including anxiety, panic, anger, frustration as well as depression and despair. We may all need help at times to learn more about ourselves, to work through those issues that are causing us difficulty, so as to make meaningful changes.
I aim to offer you a warm, supportive, non-judgemental environment where you can connect and work with your deeper feelings to gain insight and so create positive changes in your life.
How Counselling can help
Certain counselling styles suit some people more than others so I draw from a range of approaches to provide the right support for you. My experience as a psychotherapist has taught me that no one approach suits everyone as each client is unique.
Life changes trigger many difficult issues. For example the birth of a baby, moving to a new job, leaving a job, relationship changes, bereavement.... at such times it can help to reach out and talk things through in a safe confidential space.
Client responses illustrate how empowering this experience can be. Some talk about carrying a heavy burden into the session and how the process of talking with a professional allows them to feel able to finally put the burden down.
I work with both individuals and couples on an open-ended or time limited basis and have both daytime and evening availability. I offer the first session without commitment to further sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience
My experience as an integrative counsellor has been enriched by my background in both the financial services industry and the voluntary sectory. This has given me insight into the challenges we face of balancing all aspects of our lives, both personal and professional, and of building and maintaining healthy relationships.
This life experience has been invaluable in my work as a counsellor. I have broad experience of offering both short term time limited counselling to clients within a NHS setting at Putneymead Group Medical Practice and long term counselling at ASCA (addiction support and care agency) and Sutton Women's Centre.
I work within the BACP ethical framework.
MBACP(Accred), Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, Certificates in working with Depression, Anger problems, Motivational Interviewing Training, Life Coaching, Mindfulness practice, Couples Dynamics, BA (Hons).
