About me

I am a Person Centred therapist, which means that your counselling is focused completely on you.  You may be seeking a counsellor for a variety of reasons and I believe that talking through our issues and problems can help us make sense of what is going on in our lives.  Often, once we are able to make sense of how we are feeling we are in a better position to change how we feel and/or what we want from our lives.

I am a caring and compassionate individual who has been counselling since 2007. I seek to offer you encouragement and support on your journey of self discovery and provide a comfortable, safe environment for us to meet.

As well as currently running a private practice, I have a vast amount of NHS experience as a therapist, working with many of life's difficulties including:

Anxiety
Bereavement
Depression
Divorce and relationship problems
Loss of a baby or a child
Redundancy
Self esteem
Sleep problems
Stress
Trauma

In addition to the above list, there may be times when you are experiencing sadness and/or unhappiness for no apparent reason, maybe you feel you lack direction in your life or just don't feel motivated anymore.  Counselling can help to identify the underlying reason for this and can support you in moving forward in your life.

I am DBS checked (previously CRB) and am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
