I am a Psychotherapist with 30 years experience , across a range of settings; NHS, Specialist/GP services, Higher Education ,Private. I offer both open ended and short term psychotherapy, as well as Dynamic Interpersonal Psychotherapy (16 session brief model), based on psychoanalytic principles.

The space is safe, confidential and non-judgmental  to talk about whatever is troubling you. We would focus on present difficulties and their underlying causes, often from your past. Attention is paid to beliefs and feelings you might not be aware of, but which affect how you feel, behave or engage in relationships.

Areas I cover

I can work across the full spectrum of mental health related issues that can arise in adults and young people;

How I work

For those willing to engage in therapy the aim of an initial consultation, is to understand what brought you to seek help, reach a formulation and think about what would be helpful at this time.

The First Consultation - what to expect

I am an experienced assessor and clinician and have the training to understand a wide range of difficulties.

The initial consultation serves as a space to think about what will suit you and usually takes place over two sessions. My training and experience mean we can think about what goes on under the surface as well as above.  I can advise and guide if this therapy will be suitable or make another recommendation if it could be more beneficial at this time.

Approved Providers I work with:

I am an approved provider for various healthcare insurers including:

WPA, Aviva and AXA.
