Steven Allin - BA (Hons) MBACP
My name is Steven, I am a counsellor based in London, and the founder of Acceptance Counselling.
It is a confidential, non-judgemental service, where you'll find unconditional acceptance.
My counselling approach is "Person-centred" and "Integrative".
A Person-centred approach means that I believe that healing comes through exploring and expressing things in a safe, understanding relationship. The emphasis is on a strong, empathic and equal relationship between counsellor and client, and working together to bring resolution to the issues.
In this therapeutic space, you are valued just for being you, as you are, by me, someone who believes in the uniqueness and tremendous value of each individual.
It is about sharing the pain or difficulty and being properly heard and understood, and having a supportive forum to work through what one feels and the possible options for moving forward.
An integrative approach means that I draw from different counselling theories, not just one school of thought. This is because I believe that no one theory holds all the answers for understanding a situation someone is working through, rather they each have valuable insights to contribute to the process.
You'll be accepted as you are, where you're at, regardless of what you are going through.
It's a safe place where you can work through difficult things in a supportive, positive environment.
