About me

How can I help you?

You may be feeling stuck in repeating difficulties, feeling discontent, perhaps finding your relationships strained- or sadly broken -and your anxiety and depression deepening. Perhaps you are feeling weighed down with the effects of trauma and loss.

It might be that you are suffering physical symptoms such as headaches, sleeping difficulties, skin and abdominal problems. Research describes how our formative life experiences can lead to us to becoming both emotionally and physically ill. One in four of us will experience mental heath difficulties and it is getting harder to find the help we need from the NHS, although many GP's offer understanding and support.

Talking therapy can help and support you in making lasting changes- and to a more satisfying life with better relationships.

How do you choose the right person to talk with? I am a qualified psychotherapist working both short and long term in a private setting. I currently offer weekly- or more frequent- psychotherapy sessions in a quiet, warm setting in Frenchay, North Bristol. Talk to me.

As a guideline: My fee is between £35 and £40 for a day time session and £45 for sessions after 6pm. These guideline fees are open to negotiation when we meet.

Concessions: I offer some concessionary places for people on low incomes who are able to make regular daytime appointments.

Further information

My practice room and home visiting. Some people ask if I would see them at their home. I am not able to offer this option because in providing my practice room I take care of the space, the heat, light, the privacy, the timing of the sessions and provide a glass of water, tissues etc, and a loo. My taking care of the space enables you to be with whatever you are with and not be concerned with providing something for me.

My personal experience of being dyslexic has given me a keen interest in understanding the meanings in having a disability that affects us throughout our lives.
