Stella Gray MBACP(Registered) Adv. Dip Humanistic, Higher Dip CBT
Anxiety and stress can have an adverse effect on well-being and relationships.Sleep becomes disturbed and you can feel emotionally and physically drained. This can lead you to suffering from depression. Making small changes can release you from that downward spiral and in turn this enables you to feel more relaxed and more motivated.I realise that one of the most difficult things about seeking help is making the first contact. This is understandable, but I am friendly and approachable and work at a pace that suits you.
Counselling is about change and finding the right person to support you through the process is very important. I am comfortable working with people of all ages; believing that if a problem concerns you then it is valuable to bring into therapy regardless of how old or young you are.
It may be that you only need a few sessions to explore your problems and I am happy to see you for short term therapy. Having the opportunity to share your concerns in confidence with someone who listens without judging you is very powerful and can help you to see things from a different perspective.
I work with people with many presenting problems including anxiety and depression, anger issues, bereavement, those having relationship difficulties, low self esteem and lack of confidence. These issues can effect all areas of your life ;family, social activities and working environment. By bringing them into counselling and finding the right therapist can lead to a more satisfying and productive life. I have experience working with clients who have had life threatening illness, undergone surgery and have what they describe as 'a sense of loss' of who they used to be.
Although we are just entering Autumn, you may already dreading Christmas- a time when many feel overwhelmed with the impending 'joyous' season. If you are anxious about 'the ought's and should's' surrounding Christmas , I may be able to help you think and feel differently this year.
I work in a 'quiet room' in the centre of Kidderminster, convenient for people who work in the town and offer appointments throughout the day, including lunch time and evening sessions. There is access and facilities for disabled people. The room is situated at the rear of Baxter Church.
If you feel that it is too difficult for you to come to therapy, I am able to visit you in your home if you are able to create a space where we would not be disturbed .I also have experience with working with the older client and families who are dealing with issues related to age, isolation and health.
I also work in the community and have experience with dementia care and working with the elderly and the impact this can make on other family members.
If you have any questions please contact me by phone, text or email.I try to answer all inquiries within twenty four hours of receiving them.
