Profile
Anxiety and stress can have an adverse effect on wellbeing, sleep becomes disturbed and you can feel emotionally and physically drained.Making small changes can release you from that downward spiral and in turn this enables you to feel more relaxed and more motivated.I realise that one of the most difficult things about seeking help is making the first contact. This is understandable, but I am friendly and approachable and work at a pace that suits you. Counselling is about change and finding the right person to support you through the process is very important.
I am comfortable working with people of all ages; believing that if a problem concerns you then it is valuable to bring into therapy regardless of how old or young you are.
It may be that you only need a few sessions to explore your problems and I am happy to see you for short term therapy.
Having the opportunity to share your concerns in confidence with someone who listens without judging you is very powerful and can help you to see things from a different perspective.
I work in a 'quiet room' in the centre of Kidderminster, a location that is convenient to people who work in the town and can offer appointments throughout the day, including lunch time and evening sessions. There is access and facilities for disabled people. If you have any questions please contact me by phone ,text or email and I will do my best to answer them. I offer the first meeting fee of charge to enable you to explore counselling and to find out about whether we can work together on the issues you are bringing into therapy.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
I am a member of the BACP. I hold the Advanced Diploma in Counselling. I am currently working towards a Level 5 award in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I have worked with people of all ages with many presenting problems including anxiety, anger issues, bereavement, depression, low self esteem and lack of confidence. I have also qualified to work with people who have experienced traumatic events in their lives including miscarriage, abortion and rape.
