About me

Working with over 10 years of counselling and mentoring experience, I offer an empathic, non-judgemental space for you to be heard and understood. Working with both personal and professional experience we go at your pace, with what you want to bring, be it your past, present, or your future. I also offer walking therapy.

I specialise in working with those who have been impacted by changes; in family, personal and professional lives. Be it divorce, infidelity, job loss, childhood trauma and abuse, anxiety, depression, long term illness, communication problems, or perhaps loss of a loved one. We work together to find understanding and meaning, explore skills to manage and move towards healing.

Please email me or call me to arrange an initial meet. We will discuss what you want from the counselling, the commitment you would like to give to the process and what to expect. I will send you a guide of what to expect, that you can read before and after our initial meet. Taking the next step can be scary and disorientating and is often the hardest but most rewarding step to take.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at R-Vision in an transpersonal Integrative model - described as a psychotherapy with a soulful perspective. My model includes theories from Freud, Jung, Fritz Pearls and Yalom, as well as modalities including Gestalt, Existential, Humanistic, Neuroscience, Systemic and Archetypal.

What that means;
* we can explore your past experiences and how they have shaped you,
* discuss your life in the here and now, exploring what is going on for you and what you want and need for your future
* we can also acknowledge your wider family experiences and the culture and society that you live within

The modality is an holistic modality which includes body, mind and soul.

Additional training includes; Sibling rivalry, tantra, working with metaphor, online mentor training, non-violent communication, working with sexual abuse and violence, safeguarding, in utero experience, working with SEND, working with substance misuse and cultural awareness.

In addition, I am qualified to work with children using play therapy and currently work in schools with primary school aged children.

I have worked with adults face to face, on the telephone and through an online peer support network. I work with adults and young people (18+ currently).
