Siobhan Brereton - MA (Hons); PgDip. MBACP (Registered).
Do you feel you have done all you can to move past your problems by yourself?
Do you feel you might need clarity, confidence and coping strategies to move forward?
As an experienced psychotherapist, I am able to develop a nurturing rapport and offer you a safe, contained space we all need at times, to be able to do that.
It is my fundamental belief that with this tailored empathy and understanding, people feel able to express their concerns and allow for opportunities within their lives for positive growth and fulfilment.
I therefore decided to train as a psychotherapist and use my passion in helping others make sense of their thoughts and behaviours, assess choices and feel empowered to confront change.
How I work and can be of help to you
I pursued a particular career in integrative psychotherapy to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the research and theory behind a number of different therapies as opposed to only one to be able to uniquely tailor my skills to one's own needs and goals.
I can support you from a structured and pragmatic approach with cognitive-behavioural therapy, from a person-centred stance to allow you to gain self-awareness and process your problems at a more deeper level, led by yourself and with attachment theory to help you understand how you may relate to others.
As part of my training I completed a course of personal therapy to help me gain self-awareness and acknowledge how each of the modes of therapy I use, can be applied.
