Sinead Braiden, Art Therapist
Crosshill Business Centre
Main Street, Crosshill
I am an Art Psychotherapist with over 10 years experience, offering individual art therapy sessions to adults and children (age 5 upwards). Art Therapy helps people explore past and present issues through the use of chosen art media in a safe, welcoming and confidential environment.
My experience in the NHS and voluntary sector has been with a wide range of clients from all walks of life. Many have suffered traumatic experiences, abuse or neglect, whilst others have struggled with mental health issues. For me, the most important part of therapy is establishing a trusting relationship before attempting to explore any deeper emotional issues creatively with a client.
Some clients simply want to learn more about themselves through increased creativity and self-reflection, having previously held an interest in art or become accomplished in art making.
I am also approved to provide clinical supervision for other Art Therapists or health and social care professionals from a psychodynamic/person centred orientation.
