About me

I am an accredited counsellor with ten years of counselling experience working with a wide variety of issues and situations.

I have a background in education, specialising in social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. my experience as a Trainer and Teacher fuelled my interest in emotional health, human behaviour and social interaction, this led to training initially in person centred counselling and then gestalt psychotherapy.

I believe that we are all born with the resources and ability to be in rewarding relationships with other humans and to move through the problems and situations we face.

I see my task as counsellor / therapist to help you see more clearly what your situation is and to explore how you are part of it. I aim to support you in finding new and more creative ways to move more in the direction you wish.

My trainning and breadth of experience has equipped me to work with a wide variety of issues accross all ages. I have particular experience in relational work; incuding couples, gender and sexuality, anger management aswell as support with depression and anxiety.

As a senior counsellor with a local charity, I specialise in gender and sexuality issues. I have previously worked with drug and alcohol users.

Training, qualifications & experience

My training is in humanistic practices with my major training in Gestalt Psychotherapy (4yrs @ Metanoia Institute). My most recent training has been "Gender and Sexuality minorities" with Pink Therapy.

I have been in Private Practice for 9 yrs where I offer both Individuals and Couples Counselling.I also offer clinical supervision.
