I am an integrative counsellor that studied the different facets to a therapeutic relationship.
I interchange between the different models of working and have specific grounding in the person to person relationship (Person-Centered approach) and the transferential relationship (Psychodynamic approach). Depending on your needs and the contractual agreement I find working in the CBT (solution focused) manner through challenging and reality testing valuable.
Building the working alliance and facilitating the therapeutic relationship is important and I believe is one of the most beneficial aspect to begin the healing process.
Whilst I work with a range of challenges I have specific training working with those who have difficulties related to childhood sexual abuse and drug/alcohol addiction. I have a keen interest working with those who have experienced issues associated with inter-personal relationships.
I have the ability to work in a solution focused manner related to stress management and more.
I provide one to one individual counselling and I am committed to working in partnership with you to ensure you reach your desired potential. I understand the importance and need to be heard, so provide a safe environment to explore your emotions and develop your personal awareness. I strongly believe in the empowerment and autonomy of individuals which can be achieved through the art of talking therapy.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their code of ethics.
I practice in Catford and Greenwich (South East London)
