I am psychoanalytic psychotherapist with over 26 years of experience working with adults. I work to support people who may be experiencing difficulties for a variety of different reasons: relationship problems, anxiety; depressions; bereavement; coping with life changes; the effects of earlier abuse or trauma; feeling lost and confused about life; low sense of self esteem or a general sense of feeling overwhelmed by life. Psychotherapy can offer a safe, confidential space within which to explore reasons for feeling as you currently do and to open up ways of finding a better understanding about it and to begin to feel more in control.
I offer a initial consultation meeting in order to hear what has brought you to this point of seeking help and to see whether you feel comfortable working with me and whether I think I can be of help to you. I offer long term and shorter term work depending on the particular issues you are experiencing. I also work at different frequencies (once a week through to three-times a week) according to each person's situation
In addition to individual psychotherapy, I also offer individual or group supervision to practising counsellors and psychotherapists.
