Shirleyann Rady, CBT therapist
Dumfries And Galloway
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a short term talking therapy that can help us to manage problems and difficulties we may be experiencing. By exploring the way we think, act and feel we can often gain a clearer understanding of our problems.
Once we fully understand our difficultis then possible solutions can present themselves, whether that be in making changes to our behaviour or in our thinking style.
It is my task as therapist to guide you along the way through this process, hopefully to an end stage of feeling confident to continue the process solo.
Research tells us that CBT is particularly effective in Depression and Anxiety., however it is commonly used for Panic. agoraphobia, stress, post- traumatic stress disorder, physical health problems like pain or fatigue.
As you can see the list goes on, if you are unsure please feel free to give me a call or email in the first instance, it's important that you feel comfortable with some one that your going to work with.
