Profile
I am a Person-Centred Counsellor offering support to people with bereavement, depression, anxiety , low self esteem, addictions and relationship issues.
I will support clients in a therapeutic way to gain some understanding of their situation by exploring feelings and patterns of behaviour.
I became a counsellor after realising the benefits of one to one support to talk through the problems we all meet in life.
My sessions take place in a private and calming environment where clients can feel safe and reflect without being judged.
I am a mother of two sons and love to be with family and friends. I love yoga and the great outdoors.
I have worked in different counselling settings though my main work was done at the Lilac Centre which is the Cancer Unit at St. Helens Hospital. I have also had experience as a school counsellor, at a womens refuge and at an alcohol addictions charity. I have also worked with families and friends of clients as the impact of these issues can affect anybody close.
I am at present working as a volunteer counsellor with a BACP accredited counselling service for people with mild mental health issues.
