About me

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist with a private practice in West London.

Contacting a psychotherapist or counsellor can feel daunting, but it may be one of the most rewarding things you can do.

Psychotherapy can help if you are finding life a struggle; finding life meaningless or your relationships empty. Maybe you feel constantly sad or anxious; feel out of control or worrying about everything. Perhaps I can help.

It is important to find a therapist you feel you can trust, so you can talk openly about how you feel. Our first session will give you the time and space to decide if you would like us to work together. If we agree to continue we would meet every week at the same time for 50 minutes.

I am experienced in both short-term work and in longer therapy seeing people either once or twice a week. I also supervise counsellors and psychotherapists who want to explore a psychodynamic perspective.  I practice confidentially and abide by my professional body's ethical standards.

My practice is a few minutes from Isleworth Station, with frequent trains from Waterloo, Putney, Hounslow, Twickenham, Staines and Chertsey. It is very near frequent buses from Richmond, Chiswick, Shepherd's Bush, Twickenham, Staines and Sunbury. It is a short walk from Osterley Tube Station on the Piccadilly Line. There are no parking restrictions if you wish to drive.

You can contact me by email or phone and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If, after talking together, it seems therapy may be helpful to you we can arrange to meet. This first meeting will help us both decide if therapy will be helpful to you. If we agree to work together we will then arrange to meet, either for a fixed period or for a longer time.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist with an MSc and a PGDip. I trained at WPF Therapy (now part of the British Psychotherapy Foundation), whose rigorous training is accredited by BACP, UKCP and BPC. I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Supervision awarded by the Society of Analytical Psychology (SAP).

I am qualified to provide psychodynamic psychotherapy for both short-term work and for longer therapy, either once or twice a week.

I work with adults of all ages and have experience working with people with a wide range of difficulties, such a depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement and loss, relationship problems, work difficulties, long-term illness and spiritual distress. I welcome enquiries from people of any background, ethnicity or gender.

I am registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the Foundation of Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC) and abide by their professional standards and ethical principles.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BPC
British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC)

The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.

BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
