Sharon Mason Adv.Dip.Hum.Couns Registered MBACP
Welcome to my profile. I am a humanistic counsellor practising in Ashford, Kent. I am registered with the BACP, and adhere to the ethical framework code of practice. I currently work from home in my private practice.
I believe a trusting working relationship is one of the key aspects in the counselling alliance. I am able to offer you a safe, confidential, comfortable environment to explore your life experiences. I value each human being, and respect individual uniqueness.
People come to counselling for a wide variety of different reasons. Some people will have specific issues which may have become challenging, thought provoking and or unmanageable, difficult times can affect and impact on our relationships, workplace, mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. Self care is fundamental in maintaining a balance and well being in life.
At times people can feel stuck in their lives or generally dissatisfied with life, and need that extra support which our family and or friends are unable to offer, it may also be the case that you feel unable to talk to them for whatever reason.
Counselling is a talking therapy which gives you the opportunity to talk about your problems, thoughts, feelings and behaviours in a non-judgemental environment.
I aim to inform your awareness of your inner resources and abilities for your personal development and growth in your life.
Counselling sessions usually takes place on a weekly basis, with each session lasting for 50 minutes. This will be your space and time, a time for us to focus on and explore your needs, at a pace that you feel comfortable with.
