Hello and welcome...
There are times when life can be stressful or there may be difficult situations where we find we are struggling to cope. I can provide a safe and confidential space, helping you to find more effective ways of dealing with life's challenges, and equipping you with the tools to do so.
I am a qualified counsellor, member of the BACP and an accredited registrant with the National Counselling Society (NCS). I work with people of various ages and lifestyles in a warm, respectful, non judgemental way. I have experience of generic counselling and welcome enquiries from people facing difficulties, no matter how big or small they feel their problems are. I offer a reduced fee initial assessment session for you to discuss what is troubling you, how we might work together, and to see if I am the right person for you.
Currently, I work privately, and in an Agency offering NHS IAPT Psychological therapy services. This enables me to offer both short and long-term therapy to meet differing individual needs.
Before becoming a counsellor, I was a tutor and manager in Adult Education, teaching Psychology and Sociology. It is now a great pleasure for me to be teaching the CPCAB Counselling Diploma to the next generation of counsellors and I find this very rewarding.
I work as a person-centred counsellor and can draw upon other theoretical approaches if appropriate. I have a particular interest in working with bereavement, self-confidence, relationships and anxiety. I am passionate about the work I do, and feel privileged to provide a space to help you find your way.
