Please note I will be unable to answer messages 22 August-4 September.
Are you feeling stuck, trapped or unhappy? I help people to understand themselves better and make positive changes in their lives. I believe with the right support we all have the capacity to reach our full potential.
Many of my clients come to see me because they are repeating the same patterns in their intimate relationships, friendships or work lives and want to change and make sense of things.
I am a warm, friendly and confidential counsellor who specialises in:
* Anxiety (Anxiety UK-approved)
* Low self-esteem
* Relationship issues
* Post-natal depression
* Workplace conflict
* Suicidal thoughts
Counselling with me happens in a safe, welcoming environment where we work at your pace.
My clients include: women, men, young people, children and counselling students. I offer a special service to new mums or women in the later stages of pregnancy which involves seeing you in your own home, if you prefer.
My experience includes working with:
and primary and secondary schools.
I have been featured in the Guardian and Therapy Today.
My fees are £50 for a 50 minute session in Highgate, £70 in the city (the extra charge is to cover room hire). For new mums who require counselling at home the fee is £75 a session (this includes extra time to accommodate baby's needs). I can sometimes offer concessions to those on a lower wage.
Evening and weekend appointments are available.
WORKING WITH ME: WHAT PEOPLE HAVE SAID
Choosing a counsellor is an important and personal decision. You need to feel comfortable with the person you work with. Here are some of the things my clients have said about counselling with me.
"Sharon is a very warm, genuine and caring counsellor. She came across as very empathetic and understanding, yet would also challenge me when needed. Sharon helped me deal with my inner demons, fears, anxieties and low self-esteem." EW, Client
"I saw Sharon for depression and anxiety. I was nervous and not really sure what to expect. I was there seeking help for a problem that had been part of my life for over 20 years. However, Sharon's friendly and calm approach soon made me feel I was in safe hands." - ND, Client
"I have grown as a person since having counselling with Sharon and for that I am very grateful. I have recommended a friend to contact Sharon, since our sessions have finished, as I hold her in very high regard." EC, Client
"Starting counselling was the start of a real turning point in my life. Sharon provided a safe, comfortable environment. She was non-judgemental and gave me the space to explore my feelings." KS, Client
"Counselling with Sharon made a real positive difference to my Iife and set me on the right path. I would just like to say many thanks for your help." MT, Client
"Attending counselling can be a little scary but Sharon put me at ease straightaway. It wasn't always easy but it was so worthwhile. I feel I have more control over my life." MC, Client
