Sharon Bennett (Registered MBACP)
Counselling is a very personal journey of self-discovery. I provide time and space that is confidential, safe and non-judgemental where you can explore a way through any issues that may be challenging you.
I am a fully qualified therapeutic counsellor and work with adults on a one to one basis. I have experience in supporting a range of personal and emotional difficulties and life-affecting problems. Long-term and brief, more focussed therapy is available and I offer day-time and evening appointments.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor with registered membership with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I work in accordance with the BACP's Code of Ethics and Good Practice and am subject to their Professional Conduct Procedure.
Outside of my private practice, I offer counselling at 2 charitable organisations and also work within Higher Education.

- Emotional abuse
- Gender dysphoria
- Low self-confidence
- Low self-esteem
- Physical abuse
Other areas of counselling I deal with

Counselling may be unfamiliar to you and you are welcome to contact me for an initial chat before making your first appointment if that is useful to you. It will give you a brief opportunity to explore what you might need and how we can work together. It generally involves a weekly commitment for an agreed period of time.
Secluded and secure ground floor rooms in the city centre, close to bus and train links with on-street parking available.
