I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor based in Harrow, London. This means the type of counselling I provide is non-directive; I won't tell you what to do in other words. I provide a safe space to listen to you in order to help you explore your feelings. Everything you say to me is confidential and I won't judge you.
To tell you more about myself - I graduated in 2002 from university after which I spent almost ten years living in Ireland. I have worked predominantly for the public and voluntary sectors where I have worked within the substance misuse and disability sectors.
My personal experience and an interest in working with people led me onto a path towards emotional wellbeing. I qualified as Humanistic Counselling in 2010 and I moved to London in 2011. I now work in the sexual health and youth sector.
I am fully insured and I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Pyschotherapy (BACP); membership number 726616.
As well as face to face counselling, I offer telephone counselling and online counselling. If you are fine with using Skype, I can provide a face to face session using this. I will arrange a time with you, just like with a face to face appointment and we can talk online.
I also provide online instant messaging style counselling and you can book this through my website www.needtotalkcounselling.com or by emailing me at email@example.com
As well as my drawing on my experience as Humanistic counsellor, I also use techniques from Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to work in an holistic way with clients.

Counselling can help to alleviate some of the stresses many of us are experiencing during these difficult economic times. Our health is our wealth and more importantly, our mental health.
With this in mind, I recognise the need for counselling and feel that finances should not be a barrier to accessing this support. I operate a sliding scale system for people who are experiencing financial difficulties. Talk to me about this when booking an appointment.
My sessions are priced as follows and all sessions are 50 minutes long:
