About me

Thank you for taking the time to view my page.

I am an integrative and psychodynamic psychotherapist and I have experience of helping people work through various difficulties, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, relationship problems and painful feelings arising from childhood difficulties and abuse.

First and foremost, I feel that healing and recovery can only occur when clients feel safe, secure and respected in the therapy setting. Therapy can help you work through difficulties and anxieties; sometimes these are obvious to you, and sometimes they happen out of your awareness.

I believe in the uniqueness of each person, and I work with my clients to support them to find their own way through their difficulties. I believe it is very important to work with people in such a way which allows for change and development at their own pace.

I hope you will be able to find new and more positive ways of experiencing life, to be aware of and to manage your feelings as well as improve your relationships.

I welcome you warmly to contact me if you feel this might be helpful.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and an MA in Psychoanalytical Studies. I am a Member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

My private practice has consulting bases in London, Colchester and the surrounding areas.

As well as experience of private practice, I have also worked in the following contexts:

  • I have worked as a psychotherapist at the Priory Hospital, Chelmsford.
  • I have worked as the Clinical Lead psychotherapist and manager of an eating disorder service for young people and adults in the charitable sector.
  • I have taught psychoanalytic theory at Chelmsford Counselling Foundation (CCF), a member organisation of Westminster Pastoral Foundation (WPF) to Diploma Level.
