Life can serve up unexpected changes, it can become more difficult due to the misuse of substances, or from issues that have affected us from an early stage of our lives, and leave us feeling unable to cope and sometimes desperate. At these times it is important to find someone to share our feelings of anxiety, stress and depression. I have experience in offering counselling in the following areas:
anxiety & depression
self injury/self harm
confidence & self esteem issues
trauma & PTSD
HIV and related health and psychological issues
grief & loss
unresolved issues from the past / childhood
I also work with clients around life transitions & change.
I have been practising for eight years as a counsellor and have had the privilege of spending time with people who wanted to talk through difficult issues.
In recent years there has been an increase in people wanting to talk about the pressures of living with financial constraints and the impact of job loss. Through CBT and Life Coaching these issues can be given their place and possibilities for the future can be realistically explored.
Because life can throw up difficult challenges at any time, finding a counsellor who can relate to you and your problems becomes more important. I offer a confidential and safe environment where we can begin the process of developing a trusting relationship in order that you difficulties and problems can be discussed in full and solutions discovered.
