Sarah Wilson Registered MBACP
We all have life problems and sometimes these can seem overwhelming. Often the first step, finding a counsellor who you think you will be able to connect with, can be the most difficult one.
If you are having trouble getting through a difficult period in your life counselling can help with this. I believe that counselling can help you to find some understanding of yourself and with it some acceptance.
I am a warm, compassionate person and I can offer a non-judgemental, confidential space for anyone who has a problem that they cannot fix alone.
I work in a person-centred way and I believe that the trust built up between counsellor and client is important to enable someone to talk openly and feel safe.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified counsellor having gained a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2013, and am a registered member of BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) and abide by their ethical standards. I have regular supervision to ensure a standard of practice. I have had experience with clients with a range of issues including bereavement, illness, low self-worth, separation, relationship issues, depression and anxiety.
I continue to have training to keep myself updated with current practise and to improve and widen what I can offer to clients, but mainly I bring a warmth and empathy to my clients.
Currently I am attending a Foundation year course in Transactional Analysis.
