Sarah Rosella UKCP Psychotherapist
4 Dragon Street
I offer a warm, accepting and confidential space in which to explore with you issues that are currently troubling you.
At such times, you need to feel truly listened to and received, the support of someone who has the experience of working with other people in times of crisis and challenge. In my practice, we will work together to build a feeling of safety, which will enable you to open more deeply to yourself.
Maybe you are experiencing times of intense stress or anxiety, or feeling depressed, lonely, and sensing you are carrying much unexpressed emotion.
People come into psychotherapy from all walks of life, for all sorts of reasons.
Maybe you are feeling unbearable pain following relationship breakdown, or from loss through illness, death or life change.
Psychotherapy is reaching out to another to free yourself from carrying the full burden of life's challenges.
My approach is Biodynamic. This is a body oriented form of psychotherapy that values the wisdom held in our body, our aches and pains, our physical illness, as ways in which we can express our distress. I will gently help you to discover how attention to your body within the session, can help you to become more connected to your deeper 'knowing' and create a greater sense of clarity around your life challenges.
I use movement, biodynamic massage and Craniosacral Therapy, visualisation, drawing and other creative forms of expression to assist your process, as feels appropriate.
I practise in the centre of Petersfield, there is ample parking nearby and it is a five minute walk from the train station. I also work in London, Borough High street which is 2 mins walk from the underground.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an accredited member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I gained my diploma in psychotherapy with the London School of Biodynamic Psychotherapy. I am also a Registered Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, gaining my Diploma with Resonance Trainings. I also hold a certificate in biodynamic massage (LSBP).
I have a first class honours degree in psychology (1992).
My original vocational qualification was as a Registered General Nurse (RGN). I worked as a nurse for 10 years, specialising in cardiac care.
I have been working with adult clients in Petersfield for the last eight years, deepening my experience through regular supervision and a broad range of mainly body oriented and relational professional development programmes. I have a particular interest in working with women in times of transition, and helping to support deepening connection by tuning into the wisdom held within their female bodies. I have trained in deep feminine meditative dance.
