Sarah Jones Dip.Couns, MBACP
I offer a safe, confidential and ethical counselling relationship. Together we can explore the difficulties that you may be facing in a way that can help you to understand more about yourself. Whilst we will work at a pace that suits you, I will accompany you along the way and together we can look at what might lie ahead and any changes that you may decide to make.
Perhaps you're struggling with something you can define such as relationship difficulties, the death of a loved one, or have had a traumatic experience. Or perhaps it is something less clear such as feelings of depression or anxiety, or just not feeling good about yourself.
My interest is in you, the whole person... not just parts of you or a diagnosis that you might have been given. I welcome enquiries from those who find it hard to define what is pushing them to seek counselling.
I offer long or short term professional and ethical counselling for adults and young people.
I am a qualified Counsellor and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and I adhere to their professional code of ethics.
My practice is at a location that is in Bedford Town Centre. Please call, text or email today to arrange an appointment.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and experience of working with a wide range of issues within different organisations. In addition to my independent practice, I have worked for a counselling service in Hertfordshire and am currently a Coordinator, Counsellor and Supervisor for an organisation supporting those affected by fatal road collisions.
I am a qualified Supervisor and provide clinical supervision of other Counsellors.
I have completed training in Brainspotting. Brainspotting liberates the therapist from restrictions which too often compromise the all-important relational attunement. The interpersonal dynamic is the key to working with brainspots, a powerful tool in identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional trauma or body pain.
I am committed to continuing my own personal and professional development and attend my own therapy, clinical supervision and further training relevant to my practice.
