Dr Sarah Jane Khalid: Counselling Psychologist, CBT Therapist & Life Coach
The House Partnership
85 Wimpole Street
Welcome to my profile. I am an experienced Chartered Counselling Psychologist with a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) specialism. CBT is an effective therapy approach recommended by NICE (government) guidelines for mild to moderate mental health problems (anxiety disorders, stress, depression, trauma, etc) as well has physical health problems such as chronic pain, oncology, gynaecology, dermatology, cardiology, diabetes etc. Despite the research evidence, CBT is not helpful for everyone all of the time. For this reason, I carry out a full assessment to decide with you whether a trial of CBT may help.
I also offer Compassion based therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment therapy and Counselling. These are all different kinds of talking therapies which are delivered in a warm, non-judgmental manner and the specific therapy will be tailored to your problem. Please drop me a text / call as I offer a free 10 minute phone consultation. This is to talk through what therapy entails and how I can help you, if I can't then to try and guide to another therapist/service.
In addition, I hold a life coaching diploma and have a specialism in life coaching and style coaching to help you achieve your goals. In both coaching areas you will gain insight about your values, offer confidence and challenge your limiting beliefs. I will be a motivator, strategist and accountability partner to enable you achieve change. As such, coaching supports different areas in your life such as relationships, careers, fitness, and work-life balance.
I offer face to face consultations, as well as skype or phone sessions in the comfort of your own home and timetable. Latest research has shown that telephone, message and skype therapy has the same outcomes as meeting face to face.
If you would like to know more of the services that I offer, then please do not hesitate to get in contact.
