Sarah Hughes MBACP
I specialise in Psychodynamic Counselling, a talking therapy which offers space and time to think about past/present difficulties or traumas in a safe and non-judgemental environment. Through the development of the therapeutic relationship we can gain deeper insight into our behaviour patterns and relationships, which allows for the possibility of more choice and positive change in the future. Learning to connect with both our thoughts and feelings whatever they might be, without fear of censorship, can lead us to a greater understanding of who we really are and what we need in order to live a fuller, more authentic life.
My private practice at Summerfield Counselling is a 10 minute walk from Cambridge City Centre and is close to junction 12 of the M11, with off-road parking. It offers a peaceful environment in which you can rely on a non-judgemental, empathetic and confidential counselling experience. I can offer short-term counselling with a specific focus or longer term counselling for more complex issues, which we would explore in an initial assessment. If you are interested in taking up counselling or have any questions please contact me by telephone or email.
