Hello I'm Sarah, an experienced counsellor and supervisor in the counselling profession. I offer couple counselling, sex therapy and individual help for all types of relationship and sexual issues as well as stress, anxiety, depression and anger. Currently working for Relate, I can also offer private sessions to help you move forward with your life. Based in Leatherhead Surrey within easy reach of the A3 and M25 (Junction 10 & 11). There is ample free parking at my address.
Relationship counselling for couples and singles
I can help you move forward in your relationship whether it's arguing, communication difficulties, an affair or loss of interest in sex. Do you wonder why your relationship is causing you so much pain and whether you will ever have a happy and harmonious relationship again? If so, you're not alone. Many people struggle with these difficulties for years without ever finding the answers.
I have extensive experience of working with couples to build more effective communication skills and the self awareness needed to resolve differences, restore hope in each other and create a more satisfying and close partnership.
Psychosexual therapy explores the physical and emotional problems which are causing distress. I will sensitively help you resolve issues which you may have been ignoring or too embarrassed to deal with and formulate a tailored programme of treatment. Through couple exercises done at home, you will find a renewed interest in your sexual relationship and be amazed that there are ways to deal with the problem that you may not have even considered.
I am able to offer a special assessment and an individually tailored programme and support for anyone grappling with sexual compulsivity and/or love addiction. I am qualified to work with addicts in recovery, partners needing support and/or the affected couple to help rebuild a damaged relationship.
At certain times in life you may be faced with challenges or a crisis where you may need counselling support to help you cope, or you may just be at a cross roads and want to explore your options and thoughts with an objective, safe and encouraging counsellor.
Life throws us all sort of things to deal with such as redundancy, relationship problems, a bereavement or trauma which can all result in stress, anxiety, depression or even escalating anger if not addressed. Counselling can be helpful at these times to reduce the impact and help you manage any anger that is stopping you getting on with your life.
I offer supervision for counsellors working with couples and individuals. I have a collaborative and integrative approach and aim to support you in your work in an authentic and ethical way. I aim to create a safe space for growth and learning but at the same time a sense of holding and joint endeavour to develop you and your client practice.
