I am an Integrative Counsellor qualifying with an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling with Hypnotherapy Skills and an accredited member of the National Counselling Society.
As an integrative Counsellor, I actively listen as you talk freely about what is concerning you in your life. I draw on a variety of models that best suit my clients as we're not all the same and respond differently to external and internal locust. I have a focus on Gestalt and Humanistic approaches, bringing awareness and conscious understanding of thoughts, feelings and emotions. Sessions are conducted in an empathic, non-judgement safe and confidential space, working collaboratively and supportively, both long and/or short term to help you understand your current and past feelings and behaviours, and to recognise negative patterns that may be affecting how you live your life. I may also use CBT techniques to help reframe negative thought patterns and behaviour. This will support you as you find new ways of living and develop more fulfilling relationships, achieving acceptance, health and well-being in your life.
I have experience working across the public, private and voluntary sector, with a range of demographics. This has given me a great understanding of the pressures encountered in the work place, by UK nationals and international workers making a new life in the UK. Presenting issues that I have experience with include anger, stress and anxiety, depression, grief and loss, goal achievement, self defeating behaviours, physical, domestic, psychological abuse and guilt and shame.
If you feel you may benefit from having an objective, non-judgmental ear to get clarity and make real life progress then please contact me for further information.
