Profile

Are there areas of your life you would like to change?

Counselling and psychotherapy can help you get to the root of a whole range of emotional problems.  There are many reasons why people choose to see a counsellor, such as:  fear, anxiety, anger, depression, bereavement and loss, abuse, childhood trauma, eating disorders, stress, low self esteem, relationship problems, addictions, general feelings of hopelessness, gender issues and sexual identity, feeling stuck and unable to move forward.

Other reasons for entering into therapy can be for general growth in self awareness and exploring spiritual development.

Many people make numerous attempts to bring permanent change to their lives but however determined they are, they seem to keep slipping back into unsatisfying patterns of thinking, behaviour and relationships.

With help from a trained therapist, it is often possible to identify what is blocking the ability to sustain lasting change.  This allows for the process of transformation to truly begin.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I have worked for more than twelve years as a counsellor and psychotherapist seeing clients across the age ranges.  I work with people on a short or longer term basis, depending on what we both decide.  I hold diplomas in Counselling and Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from a Transpersonal perspective.  As an integrative therapist, I draw from a wide range of theories of psychotherapy depending on your needs.  With my transpersonal perspective, I approach the therapeutic relationship in a holistic way.  I aim to see your positive attributes, holding in mind your true nature and potential while attending to the challenges that you choose to bring to the therapy.

Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling - CPCAB 2003
Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy - CCPE 2007
Diploma in Spiritual Accompaniment - The Norwich Centre 2009

Since 2000 I have worked for counselling charities and I currently work in private practice in London and the South Coast.  I have also worked for a charity offering counselling to children in a primary school setting.

I am a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.  I abide by the UKCP code of ethics and I am committed to my continuing professional development and attend regular clinical supervision.

I see clients in quiet, easily accessible counselling rooms in Greencoat Place which is an easy walk from Victoria Station and where there are plenty of metered parking spaces. I also see clients in central Chichester which is well served by public transport as well as having many car parking facilities.

Fees

If you would like to talk with me about the next step, then please contact me by phone or send me an email and I will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.  It is likely that I will suggest that we meet for an initial free session in order for both of us to decide if we can work together.  There will be no pressure to commit to further sessions and we will decide together whether to continue.

Following the initial free appointment, I charge between £40.00 - £50.00 a session in Chichester and £50.00 -  £60.00 a session in London.
