I have 17 years of experience working as a counsellor and psychotherapist. I offer a safe and confidential space to people who know they need change and who are seeking support to help bring this about.
My approach is professional, supportive, empathic and respectful and I am not afraid to challenge when necessary.
I offer a boundaried and non-judgemental space that can enable you to think and feel in ways that are often not possible in other parts of your life. The foundation of successful psychotherapy is the relationship and it is in the context of this therapeutic relationship that you can learn how to process difficult feelings, make peace with the past, uncover more of your true nature and become more connected to your true self and potential. Without this connection, it is hard to know in which direction to move and this disconnect, together with self sabotaging habits, often contribute to frustrating patterns of self defeating behaviour.
My integrative training means that I can draw on different therapeutic models in order to suit each individual client. My transpersonal underpinning means that I approach the therapy in a holistic way - taking into account the person's mind, body, feelings and spirit and I may offer to work in a variety of creative ways in order to facilitate lasting growth and change.

Since 2000 I have worked for counselling charities and I currently work in private practice in London and on the South Coast. I have also worked for a charity offering counselling to children in a primary school setting.
I am an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy. I abide by the UKCP code of ethics and I am committed to my continuing professional development and attend regular clinical supervision.
I see clients in quiet, easily accessible counselling rooms in Victoria, London SW1 which are a short walk from Victoria station and in a central location in Chichester, West Sussex.
Prior to training as a therapist, I worked in the music business in central London and then lived and worked in the West Country on a smallholding and for a nature conservation trust. It was here that my connection to the natural world was forged and the parallels between raising healthy plants and the needs of the human psyche began to impact me. As a psychotherapist, I am committed to providing the right conditions in which clients may experience transformation. This is an organic process that has its own rhythm and pace and one that often takes time.

If you would like to talk with me about the next step, then please contact me by phone where you will be invited to leave a message or send me an email and I will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible. It is likely that I will suggest that we meet for an initial session in order for both of us to decide if we would like to work together. There will be no pressure to commit to further sessions and we will decide together whether to continue.
There is no charge for our initial session. Thereafter, the fees are £55.00 a session in Chichester and £75.00 a session in London.
