Profile

We all experience difficult times in our lives. Whether it's a life changing event such as bereavement or illness or a change of circumstances such as redundancy or separation, counselling can help.

Sometimes how you feel about yourself can affect your ability to cope or impact on your quality of life, for example low self esteem or depression, again counselling can help.

I am an experienced and qualified Integrative counsellor, which means that I have studied various counselling philosophies that I will integrate into my practice with you.

Our work will be within a therapeutic relationship; a supportive process which we will develop together, enabling you to explore current or past difficulties in a safe and confidential environment.

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and I work in accordance with their Ethical Framework of good practice.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I have over twelve years counselling experience.

I trained as an Integrative counsellor and have a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Integrative Counselling. I have also trained in bereavement counselling with Cruse bereavement care.

I have taught on various counselling courses including the counselling Diploma and hold a Certificate of Education (Cert Ed).

I currently see clients within private practice and run training events for groups. In the past I have worked in agencies dealing with various mental health issues.
