Sandra Whitehead, Dip Couns. Reg (MBACP) Integrative Counsellor
Welcome to my profile, are you struggling with difficult feelings, loss or change? Are these issues hard to share with other people in your life? I offer a safe confidential space where you can explore your concerns at your own pace.
I am a professional qualified integrative counsellor and a registered member with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, being a member of the BACP means I abide by the code of ethics and professional practice standards.
It may seem difficult to consider opening up your thoughts and feelings to a stranger. However this disclosure could be an important part in your journey of healing and growth. The benefits of being able to talk things through with someone who can listen and is committed during your journey towards positive change can be immense.
My clinical experience - working with individuals presenting with social and emotional issues, low self esteem, anxiety, depression, bereavement, sudden loss, relationship issues, to just needing to talk through any concerns that may be causing stress.
All sessions are tailored to your individual needs, short or long term, at a pace that feels comfortable for you, I will help you to explore any concerns that you are experiencing in a safe non-judgemental compassionate way, I feel it's important that clients feel supported within the therapeutic relationship, while being understood and listened during the therapeutic process.
Our 1st session together would be a 50 minute assessment, together we would explore what you would like from counselling, what has led you to seek counselling at this particular time in life and whether I am able to meet your needs, it will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions or concerns that you might have about the therapeutic process.
Please call or email me for a chat to arrange an initial appointment
