Sandra Bøjen-Taylor - MA Integrative Couns & Psychotherapy , MBACP
07843 683396 / 07843 683396
I offer a totally professional, confidential, experienced, compassionate and friendly service. We will develop a relationship of trust, meeting challenges collaboratively and creatively. Building on your personal resources.
The relationship between you and your counsellor is the key to a productive outcome in therapy. I don't believe that all clients fit into a particular way of working or theoretical orientation. I am trained in Integrative Psychotherapy and work with varying theories and techniques, offering a flexibility not always found with counsellors working from just one approach.
I have been in practice for over 16 years working with a whole range of diverse issues. I offer long, medium and short term counselling and psychotherapy, and have extensive experience in group therapy as well as 1-1.
Appointments can usually be made within 7 days and immediate daytime appointments are sometimes available. My Keelby practice is a beautiful old house overlooking the village green, with a small, private and relaxed study. Keelby is 10 minutes drive from Great Coates, 20 minutes from New Waltham and Brigg, and half an hour from Louth - a time to reflect before and after each session but still close enough to be convenient.
Previously I have worked as a counsellor for the Grimsby Youth Service with young people. I have also worked for the mental health charity Mind and the Navigo IAPT service in Grimsby & Cleethorpes.
Currently I work as a counsellor for the safeguarding team at a large college in Scunthorpe, working with young people and adults, and as group therapist for Breast Cancer Care covering Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Lincoln and Hull areas . I am fully insured, on the BACP Register and hold a current Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (March 2016). I am passionate about working with people to improve their lives and resolve conflict, and feel I have a wealth of experience and attributes to offer in my practice.
Please email or call to book a no obligation appointment or to just ask any questions that you may have.
Testimonial from client "Emma" (not real name) aged 34 from Lincolnshire -
"I had several sessions with Sandra to deal with anxiety issues which were affecting all aspects of my life. She was so easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable and able to share my fears without being judged in a safe environment. She has enabled me to deal with situations that caused me stress in the short term and empowered me to be confident in my life and decisions. She was really good at adapting to the experiences I shared with her and I found her knowledge base of the different styles of therapy really useful, and her explanations of some theories easy to relate to when I was trying to understand situations I had been in and how I reacted and dealt with issues. She made me feel that I was really listened to and seemed to know when I needed time to reflect and when I needed to be challenged. I can't thank her enough for the help she's given me, and how much she's helped to change my life for the better."
