About us
Hi, my name is Sam, I run Cheater, Wirral & Liverpool Counselling Association & Mindworks. We have been established for 16 years.
We offer a FREE consultation via phone or face to face to make sure you are happy with the therapist you are working with. A good relationship with your therapist is crucial when working together.
When we receive an enquiry we allocate the counsellor who will be best suited to work with you. You are offered a free consultation to make sure you feel your therapist is right for you. We can offer several phone consultations if needed with different therapists.
I feel an important part of any therapy is connecting with your counsellor, if you feel comfortable with your counsellor talking therapy comes very naturally.
All our counsellors are insured & with a recognised body. All the therapists our highly experienced.
No matter how you are feeling right now with the right support you can learn how to move forward, talking to someone who is trained to listen and care can help. Therapy is not suitable for everyone but for those who have a commitment to change & explore new ways of thinking, feeling and behaving, it brings hope.

Member organisations *
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

On average clients require between 6-10 sessions.
