About me

It is quite natural to bury problems and push them to the back of our minds, but unfortunately, they have a way of seeping back into our consciousness, causing pain and unhappiness, complications or confusion. With current problems we can pretend they aren't happening, hoping that things will get sorted on their own, but again, they pop up and make it clear that they certainly ARE happening, causing hurt and discontent.

Finding the right counsellor for you can be quite daunting, but it can be made easier. I offer a free initial phone consultation so you can decide whether you feel comfortable talking to me. After all, the relationship between you and your counsellor is the most important aspect of counselling.

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor, Coach and Mediation Practitioner offering individual, couples and family therapy, which is safe and confidential.

Working Integratively means that I use a range of skills according to the problems and the person, taking the most effective parts of a number of approaches such as Psychodynamic, Cognitive, Behavioural and Humanistic, with a view to applying these elements to help you to look at your life from a different perspective.

I have also developed my own model which I call The Inspiration Model, it incorporates both counselling and life coaching. After working for years with people in crisis, I began to see that with using only counselling and psychotherapy, clients were at risk of getting stuck in the past and not moving forward quickly enough. I wanted clients to leave my practice feeling inspired to live their lives with new found confidence and vigour. Looking at the past is an important part of therapy, but it should only inform us, not drag us back to a place we don't want to be. That's why I began to incorporate life coaching with therapy, it allows the person/the couple or the family to begin to live for today in an informed, improved and inspired way.

People are individual and the psychological distress and trauma they suffer from are wide ranging and unique to them, that is why I do not use a ‘one size fits all’ approach to counselling, but use techniques of a range of approaches, which allows flexibility in the session to help find solutions that suit the individual or the couple.

I work from Bromley and Harley Street (although I do see clients from outside these areas). Mon-Fri 10:00am-9:00pm and Saturday (Groups) 10:00am-1:00pm.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, the British Association for Coaching, the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals and I abide by their code of ethics.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
