Sama Afsheen-Wilson UKCP (accredited)Bsc (Hons),Msc.
I am a UKCP accredited Gestalt Pychotherapist. I believe strongly in the possibility of growth and transformation through deepening awareness. Gaining new insights can enable you to arrive at your own informed decisions and create new choices. I am dedicated to a relational approach, valuing the relationship between client and therapist as key to healing.
I attend to the 'here and now', exploring how our past experience may be played out in the present. In this way we can look out for repeating patterns which are no longer useful and may be blocking satisfaction and fulfillment. I will attend directly to body processes and non-verbal communication as there is an acknowledgment that our body can hold our emotional history.
I will provide a safe respectful and empathic setting, working creatively to support and gently challenge.

If there are any questions you have or feel unclear about what is on offer or whether I would be able to work with the issues you bring, call or e-mail me and we can discuss it further.
Our first consultation is an opportunity to meet before committing to regular sessions. It is a time for both of us to find out about each other. Clients can gain more information about the process of psychotherapy and how I work and equally it enables me to learn about your issues and what you may be looking for in therapy. Collaboratively we can discuss how we go forward from there.
