Sally Emerson MBACP
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor working in private practice in Stoke Newington, North London. My hours are flexible and I can see clients on weekdays, either daytime or evening. I can also offer telephone counselling if preferred.
I have worked with a wide range of issues, particularly to do with relationships, work, family, childhood, stress, depression and anxiety. I can provide a friendly, safe environment in which you can explore your thoughts and feelings, enabling you to enhance your life and move forward.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and my counselling qualification is a BACP Accredited Diploma and Foundation degree. I trained in Person Centred Counselling but I draw from a wide range of theories in my work, such as psychodynamic and attachment theory.
Prior to setting up my own practice, I worked as a lecturer and counsellor for many years in a multi cultural Further Education College, in which the students had a wide range of problems.
I also currently work for a charity, providing family support.
