I have extensive experience and a proven track record of helping people make positive changes in their lives.
I start with gaining an understanding of where you are right now and then tailor my approach to your needs and what you will find most helpful. Everyone is different in terms of their backgrounds, issues, orientation to counselling and readiness to make changes. Some people need to use the counselling to work through difficult and painful events and feelings, others might favour a more problem-solving appraoch to say a current work issue that is causing anxiety. So, I provide a professional, warm, respectful and non-judgemental relationship for all my clients that enables them to get what they, as unique individuals, need from the therapy.
I work collaboratively with clients and so, together, we would explore your ideas, thoughts, feelings and/or patterns of behaviour to gain insight, help you access your own internal resources and find the right way forward for you. I offer a balance of support and challenge and might use a range of techniques, tools and exercises if appropriate within what is called a " Humanistic Integrative" approach.
I offer a flexible service with sessions available on Weekdays and Saturdays and in both Leeds and York city centres.

BACP Accreditation, 2010 and registered with UKRCP (UK Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists)
