Sally Bellenie MBACP
I offer counselling which is built on trust and openness. I am professional, experienced and supportive. I provide a safe, calm space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.
I work in a Person Centred way which means that I place you, the person, at the centre of the work we do together. I will listen carefully to you and I will be understanding and accepting of you and your situation. I believe that by experiencing this way of being listened to, you will find a way through your problems, and you will be clearer about who you are and what you need.
I have training in a range of counselling approaches and from these I can offer an individual therapy tailored to your needs. Some clients like to work creatively and so I also offer other techniques such as art or play therapy. I have found this can help clients if they find it difficult to say how they feel.
I am experienced with counselling young children, adolescents and adults.
I worked for many years in education and I am experienced at working with staff, pupils and parents particularly in the area of Special Needs.
I offer counselling to help you with a broad range of issues that may be causing you distress such as:
Depression, Anxiety, Relationship and Family Difficulties; Betrayals and Affairs; Loss and Bereavement; Confusion, Mental, Physical and Sexual Abuse; Low Self-esteem; Self-harm; Gender; Stress and issues surrounding Education and Special Needs.
