Counselling
is based on a simple philosophy which assumes that every human being has a basic core which is valuable, and that they have a potential for growth, change and personal development. Counselling provides you with a framework to help you understand your personality and how it developed through childhood experiences and so may give you a different and clearer way of seeing things.

Counselling may help you to move forward in life. It can help you through trying times and difficult situations enabling you to get in touch with your feelings it often helps you to work through these. In order to understand hurt, anger, grief and loss in your life.

Many of us find ourselves in overwhelming situations where we find we cannot cope. I can offer to talk through these feelings with you so that life changes may be possible and therefore enhance your ability to make healthier choices. Your own self-knowledge and awareness will grow and you will begin to feel more whole as a person.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

Assertiveness Training (learn how to channel your anger in a positive way)~Anger is a natural emotion. It's nature's way of telling us that something in our lives has gone haywire. Anger occurs as a defensive response to a perceived attack or threat to our well-being.
So become who you truly want to be! Acquire the tools to master your life and commit to lasting positive change. Don't exist your life, make your dreams a reality, live your life and learn to love it!

Bereavement & or Loss ~ Someone very dear to you may have died recently or even a long time ago.... you maybe feeling a loss about something else you miss in your life?

Stress Overload? Over loading yourself, your family and friends with your troubles? Come and talk to someone who will be non judgemental and empathic of your situation.

Transition & Change ~ Whatever your transition maybe ~ New relationship, Marriage, New Birth, Loss, Divorce, New Identity, Step-Family formation, Retirement, Redundancy, New job/career...if you find you are really struggling with any changes in your life and find yourself not coping, then come and talk about it.
