About me

Welcome to S.Jagusch Integrative Psychotherapy

I appreciate that making the initial contact with a therapist can be a daunting experience, so please read through the following and if you feel that I might be able to help, do get in touch with no obligation.
I look forward to hearing from you.

My name is Sabine Jagusch and I am a trained and qualified psychotherapist in the Solihull & Birmingham area. I am committed to providing Psychotherapy and Counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. I offer long and short term therapy to both individual adults and couples. I also offer counselling to students and those undertaking training in psychotherapy. The number of sessions will depend on you, the complexity of the issues you want to resolve and the depth of the work we undertake together.

How psychotherapy can help

The aim of psychotherapy is to help you to develop your awareness of why you feel the way you do about yourself and others, and how you respond to life and those around you. Furthermore psychotherapy aims to support you to develop better coping strategies, or to bring about changes in the way you think and behave that will improve your mental and emotional well-being. The overarching aspiration is to enable you to enhance your life and live it more fully.

My approach

Psychotherapy is a professional relationship between therapist and client in which the client is supported to explore difficulties, experiences and feelings. I place great importance on the development of an authentic relationship which is offering the client the safety to express powerful feelings and the opportunity for empowerment and growth. As an Integrative psychotherapist I work with a unique integrated model that is a synthesis of Humanistic Psychology, Object Relations Theory and Psychoanalytic Self-Psychology. Therapeutic approaches that inform my practice include Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Gestalt Psychotherapy, Transactional Analysis, and Relational therapy. The influence of these different approaches enables me to work with clients with a wide variety of difficulties.

These are some of the issues I have experience of working with:

  • Anxiety
  • Generalised anxiety disorder
  • Depression
  • Anger
  • Confidence and self-esteem issues
  • Relationship issues
  • Domestic violence
  • Histories of abuse
  • Family difficulties
  • Identity issues
  • Bullying
  • Loss and bereavement
  • Cultural difference
  • Issues around sexuality
  • Pregnancy and fertility issues
