I feel it takes a lot of courage to reach out for help when you need it.
Life can be challenging and tough at times.
This is where counselling can help.
I provide a confidential, trustworthy and non-judgemental environment so that we may work together through your own personal issues and difficulties.
As a registered member of the BACP, I adhere to a strict code of ethics ensuring good practise and I am therefore subject to their professional conduct procedure.
I trained on a BACP accredited course. This course included Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt models of counselling.
I am bilingual in French and have lived in various countries enabling me to experience many cultures and ways of being.
I first started working in a counselling role as a volunteer visiting the elderly and went on to use my bi-lingual skills visiting detainees in a detention centre. I then joined a bereavement agency and have been with them since 2012. This involves seeing clients on a short term basis with bereavement related issues which can include suicide, addictions and relationship issues.I am currently a counsellor at the University of Kent. I work with teenagers as well as young adults. Although I do not work with children or young adolescents in my private practice, my work at the University lends itself to a good understanding when working with young adults as well as parents and carers who are experiencing difficulties.
