About me

I am a qualified and accredited psychotherapist and I'm based in Sunbury-upon-Thames and also work near London Bridge in Central London.

I offer weekly one-to-one psychotherapy to adults on either a short-term or open-ended basis,  depending on your needs and preference. I currently offer session in person or online. I also offer therapy for couples who would like to explore their relationship. Therapy can help address a specific aspect of life or difficulty on a short-term basis or offer the opportunity to a more in-depth exploration of your life. It can be hard to predict how long therapy might be useful and it depends on every person's individual situation. I offer an explorative and open space to reflect on your experiences and relationships, as well as your work and any other part of your life that feels important.

I believe that every person comes to therapy with their own unique life experience and that therapy needs to be a creative and flexible process to support each person in their own way. In therapy one of the aims is to consider and explore different aspects of life, including how our past informs the present as well as the different relationships we form in life. This can help to create some clarity and awareness of your life experience and have a positive effect on all areas of your life by offering the possibility of change.

I believe that one of the most important aspects of good therapy is the therapeutic relationship. This forms a core part of my approach to therapy and I feel it should be a collaborative process.

I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) therapy which is a specific type of therapy that has been developed to help processing with trauma and managing anxiety.

I have also completed a Diploma in Clinical Supervision at the Grove and offer Individual or Group Supervision.

I offer therapy in English as well as German.

Training, qualifications & experience

My training included different approaches to therapy and I hold a MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling and an Advanced Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy (ADEP)–both from Regent’s University in London. I also hold a MSC in Addiction from King's College London. I have also completed a certificate in couples counselling at The Grove in London.

I hold a Diploma in Clinical Supervision after training at The Grove in London that allows me to offer Individual and Group Supervision.

I have completed training in EMDR therapy and I’m a member of the EMDR Association U.K. and Ireland

I am registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as well as a member of the Society of Existential Analysis (SEA).

I adhere to the UCKP Ethical Framework, attend regular Supervision with a UKCP registered supervisor and engage in regular CPD training to support my personal and professional development.

Apart from my work as a counsellor and psychotherapist I also have over fifteen years experience of working in the voluntary sector in different capacities and in close collaboration with services within the NHS.
