About me

Hi, I'm Ryan. I am a qualified Accredited and Registered Psychotherapist / Counsellor with several years of extensive training and experience in providing general counselling as well as more structured, solution focused interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with individuals presenting various forms of emotional distress, struggling with i.e. depression, anxiety, ageing issues, bereavement, health-related issues, substance misuse issues, Post traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), abuse, cultural and race issues, work-related issues, low self-esteem and relationship issues.

My expertise in providing 1:1 counselling spans over six years, during which I undertook extensive, rigorous, experiential therapy training. My experience in working with clients was gathered through practicing with several uniquely profiled counselling agencies in London specializing in providing services to i.e. students of Westminster Adult Education Services / Tithe Barn Counselling Service/, Asylum seeking clients who experienced war crimes and extreme levels of violence presenting with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder diagnoses(PTSD) at the Mapesbury Counselling Clinic ( Minster centre) /, substance misusing clients at Brent Addiction Counselling Services /, as well as bereaved clients or clients facing their own mortality at Age UK Counselling services.

My practice is based on integrative approach, what means that my work is informed by various therapeutic traditions to produce a unique therapy format, adapted to optimally suit client's individual needs. The practice is open to all those individuals who seek confidential, reflective and nourishing space to explore their way of living and any distressing issue that they are struggling with in their lives.

My experience of working therapeutically includes both crisis management interventions, brief, structured work and long-term work, which in every case included carrying out client assessments, formulations, developing treatment plans and providing highly individualised therapeutic service.

As an accredited / registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, I am committed to providing the highest standards of professional practice and confidentiality; I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework.
