What is CBT?
CBT is a goal-orientated talking therapy which research has proven is effective in the treatment of a wide range of mental health issues.
It is based on the idea that how we feel is directly effected by what we think and how we behave.
CBT breaks unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaving that prevent us from reaching our own goals and living life as we want to. It identifies and challenges underlying negative self-beliefs and addresses self-limiting behaviour.
Does CBT work?
CBT is recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) as the treatment of choice for Depression and Anxiety. Research of Mental Health Service providers shows CBT to be the most strongly supported therapy for adults.
Who can CBT help?
CBT can help anyone who wants to make changes in their life. I work with both adult and adolescent individuals and I provide couples counselling.
Cross Professional and Counselling Supervision
