About me

Hello and welcome to my profile. I started my counselling and psychotherapy career at the end of 2010, and I particularly enjoy Jungian styles of therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS), and similar ways of working with distress in our inner lives. My experience allows me to support people with a broad range of difficulties like anxiety, abuse, depression, as well as life transitions and feeling lost. My hope is you can find greater meaning and purpose, and learn form the challenges your face.

I will offer you a safe and confidential space to explore what is going on in your life. I will try and help you understand and move through whatever is troubling you, so you can move on with your life in a meaningful way.

My Masters Degree training is in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. As an integrative therapist I use a variety of tools and perspectives from several fields, and we can work together to find out what works best for you. I aim to support your return to wellbeing by helping you find the source of your discomfort, to learn why it is there, and make the necessary life changes. At times we might try cognitive aspects of therapy and at others a more depth focused approach, depending on what you are looking for and what seems to help.

I help people with anxiety, depression, life transitions, loss, healing trauma, finding their life path, getting through the blocks holding them back, and much more.

As well as the above, I also have specific knowledge and skill in the areas of working with dreams and images, Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, PTSD and Trauma, Mindfulness and Self Compassion, Expressive Arts Therapy, Ecotherapy/nature-based therapy and spiritual issues.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Masters Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy.

I have been practising as a psychotherapist and counsellor in Norwich since 2010 and work for Norfolk and Waveney Mind with people experiencing depression, anxiety, personality disorders, psychosis, and a range of other difficulties, from 2010-2021.

My other areas of training include:

  • Internal Family Systems Therapy
  • Mindfulness
  • Compassion Focused Therapy
  • Recovery from Post Traumatic Stress
  • Nature-Based Therapy/Ecotherapy
  • Expressive Arts Therapy

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
