Robert Black MA
It can be really difficult to reach out for help when we are in a bad place. This is why I offer a safe and confidential space to explore what is going on in your life. I work with people to help them understand and move through whatever is troubling them. My Masters Degree training is in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. As an integrative therapist I use a variety of tools and perspectives from several fields, choosing the appropriate ones for the person and situation in question. I support my clients' return to wellbeing by helping them find the source of their discomfort, to learn why it is there, and make the necessary life changes. At times we might try cognitive aspects of therapy and at others a more depth focused approach, depending on what you are looking for and what seems to help.
I help people with anxiety, depression, life transitions, loss, healing trauma, finding their life path, getting through the blocks holding them back, and much more.
As well as the above, I also have specific knowledge and skill in the areas of PTSD and Trauma, Mindfulness and Self Compassion, Expressive Arts Therapy, Ecotherapy/nature-based therapy and spiritual issues.
