About me

I have been working as a humanistic and integrative psychotherapist since 1996.

I am passionate about living life as fully as possible and supporting others to do the same.  The primary qualities that I bring into relationship with you as client are empathy, respect and a deep curiosity to understand you. To explore how you are in your life, your body, your mind and your relationships to self and others. In my experience when embodiment is involved in the therapy process it offers a higher degree of holistic healing.

By entering into this depth of exploration we find shared understanding of the dilemmas that bring you to seek therapy. And a growing capacity to make the changes you choose to make in growing towards your full potential.

My approach is to work securely whilst repeatedly finding the edges that bring about change in awareness, insight, habits and relationships. I honor the central principle that each of my clients brings their own inherent wisdom which can be a valuable aspect of our work together.

The main challenges I have the most experience in dealing with are low self esteem, anxiety, depression, psychosomatic issues, spiritual emergency, stage of life changes, ageing, sexuality, abuse, trauma, panic attacks, anger management, relationship and family issues, loss and grief.

Since 1984 as part of my personal development journey I have integrated many approaches to healing on levels of body, mind and spirit - all of which has informed my professional practice.  This has included bodywork, acupuncture, counselling, psychotherapy, eco-therapy and eco-psychology.

I work with individuals, couples and groups. I have taken my practice into private clinic settings, social enterprise communities, the corporate world, and the NHS.

My practice room is located on a farm 3 miles from Fivemiletown. This offers the possibility of both indoor and outdoor work.

Training, qualifications & experience

My interest in the therapeutic relationship and my own journey of personal development led me to train in humanistic psychotherapy. Between 1991 and 2003 I engaged in an intensive period of training along side my own therapy at Spectrum, a centre for humanistic and integrative psychotherapy, which is accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.

I've been in private practice since 1988 when I started out as a shiatsu therapist and subsequently became an acupuncturist. I have offered psychotherapy to others since 1996.

I am accredited by the United Kingdom Association for Humanistic Psychology Practitioners (A.H.P.P.).
I am registered in the role of Psychotherapist by A.H.P.P. with United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (U.K.C.P.).

I'm passionately committed to ongoing continuous professional development across a broad range of associated areas. My recent trainings have supported me in deepening my understanding and skills on complex trauma, shame, eco-anxiety, and existential crisis management.
