About me

During difficult times I know from past experience the importance of having someone that listens, someone that cares, and gives you the space to explore your thoughts and share your experiences in a non-judgemental way. I can offer you that person and that space.

I run a small private practice called " My Time Counselling Service " in Sheffield City Centre offering counselling to people in the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Area including Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster and North Derbyshire, my room is pleasant, warm, safe and easily accessible to all the above areas.

My belief is that while no-one can change the past, therapy can help, as there are positive ways through supported exploration that a person can begin to understand the past, find a level of acceptance and move forward at pace that feels right for them.

Short term and Long term work undertaken depending on each individual clients needs. Full discussion, consultation and regular reviews to facilitate the best possible service for the client.

Training, qualifications & experience

Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Theory and Practice.
Level 1,2 and 3 in Counselling.

I am committed to Continuing Personal Development.

I am a trained and qualified counsellor.I am a member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

I believe that my training in the Person Centred Approach to Counselling enables me to offer you a safe, non-judgemental space to call your own, a space to explore what is going on for you right now. I offer you a strong therapeutic relationship and together we can work through your issues and find the best way of moving forward in a way that feels right for you.

As well as working in private practice I also work for the NHS counselling clients from all walks of life, exploring a diverse range of issues.

I have many years experience of working with survivors and carers of people affected by Traumatic and Acquired Brain Injury, Brain Injury is often sudden and unexpected and affects the whole family. Family relationships are often challenged and family dynamics changed, I understand this life changing experience.

I have first hand experience of raising children as a single parent and a good level of understanding of the challenges this brings.

I hold an up to date CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.
