About me

Research has shown time and time again that the most important factor in the counselling process is a good, positive relationship between counsellor and client.    For this reason, I offer an initial session free of charge.  This allows the opportunity for the client and myself to get to know each other and see if we gel.

Over the years, I have helped people deal successfully with all kinds of issues.  These include relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, OCD, low self esteem, and bereavement.  I have more than ten years experience of working with adults who have been affected one way or another by adoption issues - primarily abandonment, loss and difficulties with relationships.

I have worked successfully for many years with women who, for whatever reason, are separated from their children.

I work collaboratively with my clients, where appropriate offering tips and techniques to reduce anxiety & stress, and improve self-esteem.

I'm a very experienced counsellor having been in practice for more than fifteen years .  As a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, I adhere to the Association's code of ethics.  I have regular supervision with a highly qualified practitioner, and I participate in on-going professional development.

My practice is in North London in the Bounds Green/Palmers Green area close to Muswell Hill, Southgate, Enfield and Barnet.  It is well served by public transport, and is within easy walking distance of Bound Green Tube, and Bowes Park over-ground station.

I can be flexible with appointments and can work to the time of day that suits you best.  I can offer early morning or weekend appointments if needed.  I can also be flexible with the frequency of appointments which can be weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.
